Follow up that lead with a phone call and increase your conversions

Recently I’ve placed RFQ (request for quotation) for a trip overseas with on elf the reputable websites.

As I’m a seasoned traveller, I know exactly what I’m after, setup, flights, times of the day, etc. I had a few questions and specifically asked in webforms for someone to call me to discuss my specific requirements. To my surprise, or not – no-one called and 2 days latter I received  an email confirming that my request is submitted and that someone would be in touch with me in 48hrs?!?

Needless to say – I went ahead with another company and booked my business trip with them. This experience begs a question – is your business wasting leads like this online with all the automation in place, etc?

If you want to bump your sales this year – simply do this: pickup the phone and call your leads to see if they are ready to buy. And definitely, if you receive request for quotation – jump on it straight away. I bet – your prospect would be pleasantly surprised with the speed of your personal contact and in all likelihood – will place that order with you.
